Jagran correspondent, Sant Kabir Nagar. A two-day-old newborn died during treatment in the district hospital late on Tuesday night. Angered by the incident, the family members created a ruckus in the hospital premises, accusing the doctor of negligence. Collectorate post police reached the information and after a lot of effort, calmed down the matter by convincing the family members.
According to the information, Sadhna, wife of Vishal Yadav, son of Deendayal Yadav, resident of Sihtikar village of Bakhira police station area, gave birth to a child on February 22 in the MCH wing of the district hospital.
Family members allege that the newborn was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday. After reaching home, the child's health suddenly started deteriorating late in the evening. He was crying continuously and was not even drinking milk. The family immediately took him back to the district hospital, where he was admitted to the NICU ward.
It is alleged that the condition of the newborn became critical at around ten in the night. The staff nurse on duty called the doctor and informed him about the situation and requested him to come immediately, but the family members say that the doctor did not reach the spot.

It is alleged that due to lack of proper treatment on time, the newborn died shortly after. As soon as the information about the death of the newborn was received, the family members became angry. They started creating noise in the hospital premises, accusing the doctor of negligence.
Seeing the situation worsening, the hospital administration informed the police. Collectorate post police reached the spot, pacified the family members and assured them of necessary action.
