State Bureau, Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh and Singapore will work together on digital transformation, institutional capacity and policy framework. For this, an agreement has been signed with Uttar Pradesh Government and Singapore Cooperation Enterprises (SCE).
At the same time, an agreement was signed with AI Sats for building a cargo campus and setting up air catering kitchen at Noida International Airport for Rs 4,458 crore.
Air catering kitchen will supply food to all the airports of North India. On Tuesday, on the second day of his two-day visit to Singapore, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong and Coordinating Minister for National Security K Shanmugam and invited investment.
The focus of the meeting was the effective use of Singapore's expertise in urban planning, internal security framework and digital governance in Uttar Pradesh. In conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath discussed the employment-oriented environment of Uttar Pradesh.
He highlighted the state's vast land bank and the connectivity it would soon get from Noida International Airport (Jewar). The meeting discussed the possibilities of setting up industrial townships by Singapore companies in Delhi-NCR, with emphasis on semiconductor manufacturing and green hydrogen modules.
Addressing Singapore industrialists, Chief Minister Yogi invited independent financial funds and private investors to invest in the state's logistics and data center sectors.
He said that simplification of regulatory processes and single-window clearance system has significantly reduced the time frame for completion of large projects in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the earlier MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed with AI Sats, AI Sats will build a state-of-the-art cargo campus in the Noida International Airport complex.
This cargo campus will become a major hub for air freight and logistics not only for Uttar Pradesh but for the entire North India. This project will give impetus to export-import activities, especially sectors like electronics, pharma, agricultural products will get huge benefits.
As per the MoU signed with SCE, both sides will organize visits and leadership delegations to study related topics. Efforts will be made to negotiate detailed project agreements within two months and finalize them within six months.
Investment proposals worth Rs 1 lakh crore received in Singapore, MoUs worth Rs 60 thousand crore signed: Yogi
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Team UP has received investment proposals worth about Rs 1 lakh crore in Singapore. Out of these, MoUs worth Rs 60 thousand crore have been concluded by 'Invest UP'.
He expressed confidence that this investment will prove to be a milestone in the direction of making the state a trillion dollar economy. Talking to the media, the Chief Minister said that in the last two days he has met representatives of more than 100 companies.
He also had positive and meaningful talks with the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Home Minister and Energy Minister of Singapore.
Apart from this, meetings were also held with presidents and CEOs of major fintech companies. Some Singapore companies have also invested in the Ganga Expressway, which is being developed as the country's largest expressway.
Singapore's efficiency in developing cargo facility and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling) with Noida International Airport at Jewar was studied.
CM Yogi said that at present many aircraft from the world including India come to Singapore for their MRO work. This facility can be developed in India, especially in Jewar.
The Chief Minister addressed investors at the Business Leaders Dialogue program at the Uttar Pradesh Investment Roadshow organized by Business Federation Singapore.
He invited all the investors involved in the dialogue to invest in the state. The Chief Minister said that most of the foreign investments in Uttar Pradesh are made by Singapore companies. He also met with the chairmen of Temasek, GSS Green, USC, GIC, SAP Corse, Black Stone.
