Jagran correspondent, Hisar. The fragrance of thousands of years old ancestors in the soil of Rakhigarhi is still working as a fragrance to reveal many secrets. Once again the soil of Haryana is going to create history. The statue of Ram Darbar was made in the Ram temple of Ayodhya from the same soil of Jind, which will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
Big achievement for Haryana
Many famous artists have reached Rakhigarhi Mahotsav. One of those artists is the young artist of the state, Pradeep Kumar, who made his mark with the Bharat Mitra Pillar in village Khanda Khedi. Now the idol of Ram Darbar made by him will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple in Ayodhya. This is a big achievement for the state.
Sculptor Pradeep Kumar's journey started with making sketches on white paper. Gradually he started making sculptures from clay. Pradeep is associated with Jind's Indus Educational Institute and currently he has set up a clay art studio at Kinana's Indus Global Academy.
Actually, former Finance Minister of the state Captain Abhimanyu wanted to get a grand construction of Bharat Mitra Pillar in village Khanda Khedi in the memory of his late father. In that, sculptures had to be made by a famous artist, then Pradeep's journey of success started from here. He was selected from among hundreds of artists and in three years he created many artworks for Bharat Mitra Pillar.
He shared these artworks on social media. Vasudev Kaman, honored with the country's Padmashree award, showed his work to the Ayodhya temple committee and then called them to Teen Murti Bhawan in Delhi. Four eminent artists were selected from among thousands of sculptors across the country and among them, Pradeep Kumar of Haryana was selected to create the idol of Ram Darbar.
'Good luck making the idol of Ram Darbar'
Pradeep Kumar told that he was given a picture of Ram Darbar. He considered this work as a blessing of the soil of Haryana and built Ram Darbar with this soil. While working, the temple committee came to him twice and rectified the defects in the idol. The selected FRP fiber glass model will be kept in the museum of Ram Mandir Trust. Taking this as its basis, it has been carved in Rajasthan. Most of the work has been done by machines and some work has been done by the artists of Rajasthan.
Pradeep Kumar is currently working on making sculptures for the Jain temple in New York. Last year, 10 to 11 idols were made by him in the Kumbh in Prayagraj. The statue of Nataraja is still installed in front of Prayagraj Airport.
