Shri Krishna Mishra, Begusarai. A survey of the eligible beneficiaries of the districts deprived of the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin has been conducted by the department. Names of a total of two lakh 79 thousand 648 beneficiaries of the district have been included in the survey list, but out of these, after the first level of investigation, about 95 thousand beneficiaries have been eliminated. After final verification, such beneficiaries may also be left out of the list.
The survey was conducted in two ways:
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, a survey has been conducted in two ways to prepare a list to provide the benefits of the scheme to the eligible beneficiaries who have been left out. One survey has been conducted by government officials and the names of the eligible families identified by them have been included in the list, while the other survey has been conducted by the beneficiaries themselves as per the provisions of the government.
In which the beneficiary himself has entered his information online and his name has been included in the list. About two lakh 29 thousand beneficiaries are included in the survey list conducted by government personnel. Whereas the survey conducted by the beneficiaries themselves includes about 51 thousand beneficiaries in the list.
First level investigation conducted:
The first level investigation was conducted by the department to identify ineligible beneficiaries included in the survey list. During the investigation, about 95 thousand such beneficiary families have been identified, who do not come under the ambit of eligible beneficiaries of the housing scheme.
Second level investigation will be done before the final list:
According to the departmental officer, the beneficiary families identified in the first level investigation will be investigated once again. This investigation will be conducted through block or district level officials. The investigation will include officers who were not involved in the first level investigation.
This is how the investigation is done:
Talking about the investigation process, the investigating officers reach the homes of the beneficiary families. Where photographs and videos are prepared with the house and the beneficiary. Information related to eligibility is also obtained through enquiry. This entire process of investigation is also recorded online on the survey app of the department. Due to this, the investigation report remains visible to the senior officers also.
When asked, Krishna Prasad Gupta, the officer in charge of the housing scheme, said that the department is trying to ensure that no eligible person is deprived of the benefits, hence after the first level investigation, the process of conducting second level investigation is also being started.
