Jagran correspondent, Madhubani. Madhubani Crime News: There was chaos on Station Road in Madhubani when a theft accused managed to escape from police custody by pushing the Mumbai Police. There is a stir in the police department after the incident.
According to the information received, the Mumbai Police team had reached Madhubani to arrest absconding accused Prabhu Kumar Mukhiya in a theft case registered in Malwar Heel police station area of Maharashtra. The team included API Mane Poshi, Constable Bhagat Poshi and Ravindra Kishan Sanap.
Accused Prabhu Kumar Mukhiya is the son of Baleshwar Mukhiya, resident of Nagwas village of Arer police station area. She was arrested from her in-laws house in Benipatti. After the arrest, the police presented the accused in Benipatti Court, from where permission was given to take him to Mumbai on the orders of the court.
After returning from the court, the police team reached Madhubani railway station with the accused. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the huge crowd outside the station, the accused pushed both the constables along with the motorcycle and fled from the spot.
After the incident, there was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot. Mumbai Police and local police immediately started searching for the accused. An intensive raid operation is being conducted in the surrounding areas.
Police officials say that soon the absconding accused will be arrested again. Negligence in the matter is also being investigated, so that such incidents can be prevented in future.
