The new year 2026 has brought bad news for Arjun Bijlani. Rakesh Chandra Swamy, father of actor's wife Neha Swamy, has passed away at the age of 73. According to Hindustan Times report, Arjun's father-in-law was quite well, before his death he had a good meal with his family members. After this his health suddenly deteriorated and he was hurriedly taken to the hospital.

Last Monday, Neha Swami's father was admitted to the ICU and was put on ventilator in view of his critical condition. Today on Thursday morning, January 1, 2026, he breathed his last and said goodbye to this world forever. It is being told that Rakesh Chandra Swamy had suffered a stroke and due to this he died.

It is known that Arjun was very close to his father-in-law. Because at the age of 19, the shadow of his father was gone from his head, hence after marriage with Neha, he saw the shadow of his father in his father-in-law Rakesh Swami, who himself is no more in this world.

A close member of Arjun Bijlani's family has shared a post on social media and informed that the last rites of his father-in-law will be performed today on January 1 in the evening at Hindu Samsan Bhoomi in Oshiwara, Mumbai.
