Additional manpower will be deployed in sluggish districts.

State Bureau, Patna. Farmers Registration: Deputy Chief Minister cum Land Reforms Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has said that the aim of the state government is to link every farmer with a unique farmer ID with the aim that the benefits of government schemes can reach all of them.

The target setting is being done keeping in mind the circumstances of the districts having Revisional Survey (RS) and Cadastral Survey (CS), so that the Agristack campaign can be successfully carried forward at the state level.

He said that RS districts have performed better in this. Analysis of the progress of farmers registration shows that the quality of land records has a direct impact on the speed and conversion of registration. There are structural challenges related to succession, joint holding and old records in CS districts.

Additional Chief Secretary of the department CK Anil said on Sunday that the districts with 100 percent or more achievement in farmers registration are Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Araria, Bhagalpur and Katihar etc.

All these are covered by the revisional survey. Due to clarity of land records in these districts, minimum hurdles are being faced in the farmers registration process.

Clear land plot, clear ownership and minimum manual intervention is required for farmers registration. These are relatively easily available in RS districts.

Keeping this in mind, it has been decided that to speed up farmers registration in the districts, special emphasis will be laid on effective conversion of existing e-KYC along with refinement and filing-dismissal by deploying additional human resources.

Muzaffarpur district is the topper

Muzaffarpur district tops the state with 75,568 registrations. After this, RS districts like Vaishali (60,697), Katihar (58,611), Purnia (56,030) and Bhagalpur (55,314) are leading.

Araria, Gaya and Sitamarhi also performed remarkably by registering more than 45 thousand. Whereas in RS Partial category, Samastipur (35,767), Supaul (33,185) and Banka (30,174) registered good progress.
