QR code scanners have also been installed at the ticket counters of Bareilly Junction. Apart from this, the number of ATVM (Automatic Ticket Vending Machine) will be increased by reducing the number of ticket counters. The Rail One app has been connected to the ATVM so that passengers can make online payment by scanning the QR code.

12 thousand tickets are sold daily

According to the information, an average of 12 thousand tickets are sold daily from the ticket counter at Bareilly Junction and the Railways earns an income of Rs 16 lakh from this. Apart from this, five thousand tickets are sold daily from ATVM and an income of five lakh is generated. Now the officials have set a target of selling 10 thousand tickets daily through ATVM.

There is a daily income of Rs 2 lakh from online booking. Earlier there were six unreserved ticket counters at the junction and there were long queues at these counters. Many times passengers would miss the train due to delay in getting tickets. In such a situation ATVMs were installed. Now gradually ticket counters are being reduced and ATVMs are being increased.

ATVMs will increase, currently eight are installed

At present three ticket counters are running in the ticket house of Bareilly Junction, of which there are preparations to reduce it to only one in future. Many times passengers complain at the ticket counter that they were overcharged. Sometimes there is a problem even if there is no change. Apart from this, there are currently eight ATVMs at the junction, which will be further increased. Vendors on ATVMs give tickets to passengers on payment of Rs.

Many people make online payments, hence the QR code of Rail One App has started appearing on the screen of ATVM. In such a situation, people can scan it and make online payment. Tickets are also being sold through three JTBS (General Ticket Booking Services). Railway officials say that with more and more online payments, passengers' complaints of overcharging will also be removed to a great extent.

50 percent cashless tickets are being distributed

Chief Commercial Inspector Mohd. Syed Imran Chishti said that currently 50 percent cashless tickets are being distributed at the junction. Passengers are also making tickets through Rail One app in increasing numbers. Now passengers can also book MST through Rail One app. There is more emphasis on digital transactions, for this the number of ATVMs will be increased by reducing the number of ticket counters.
