Jagran correspondent, Meerut. With the onset of winter increasing, incidents of theft are also increasing in Bhawanpur area. Thieves raided two houses in Gangasagar Colony of Bandh Gate and stole goods and cash worth lakhs. The matter came to light after the family returned from Ghaziabad. After the information, police reached the spot. Even till late night, Bhawanpur police did not register a case based on the victim's complaint. Rather, the officers are being misled that the goods were not stolen from the house. There is anger among the people of Gangasagar regarding the action of police patrolling. He says that a month has passed since the police were seen around the colony.
The closed gate loop on the border of Bhavanpur police station area is Gangasagar Colony. Mostly VIV families live in the colony. The colony houses the house of retired Joint Director Health Dr. Avinash Kumar. His family also lives in Ghaziabad. On January 9, Dr. Avinash Kumar had gone to Ghaziabad with his family. The main gate of the house was locked. It is said that on the night of 11th January, three miscreants entered his house by climbing the wall. The lock on the gate inside the house was broken. After that entered the bedroom and drawing room.

The miscreants remained inside the house for four hours. The miscreants searched the entire house. Son Prashant Kumar told that miscreants stole goods worth lakhs including cash of seven thousand from inside the house. The miscreants have also not left the DVR of the CCTV installed inside the house. While leaving the house, three miscreants were captured on CCTV, who were seen leaving with a bag full of goods hanging from their back. Apart from that, miscreants also raided the house of Indra Sharma's wife VK Sharma nearby. The window of the house was broken. However could not enter inside the house.
The landlords have expressed their insecurity by uploading the footage of the incident on the colony's WhatsApp group. The people of the colony say that the negligence of the police is the reason for the theft. If the police had patrolled the colony and its surroundings, perhaps the miscreants would not have been able to commit theft. Residents living in the colony say that more than a month has passed since they saw the police. SO Jogendra Kumar has also expressed ignorance about the names of the landlords, saying that he is not aware of the theft incident, while the victim's family members say that a complaint has been filed.
Two teams of Bhawanpur police were deployed to uncover the incident of theft in two houses in Gangasagar. The three miscreants are being identified on the basis of the footage.
