Jagran correspondent, Kannauj. A case of theft has come to light at the house of an agarbatti trader. After investigation, the officials termed the case as suspicious and made inquiries.
Agarbatti businessman Aish Mohammad, resident of Mohalla Bagiya Fazal Imam of the city, gave a complaint to Sadar Kotwali in-charge Jitendra Pratap Singh on Sunday morning. He told in the complaint that on Saturday morning at 10 am, he had gone with his family to a wedding ceremony at the place of a relative living in Bilgram town of Hardoi district.
After returning at 2 o'clock in the night, the lock of the main door of the house was found broken and the belongings scattered. Two necklaces, three rings, two gold chains and four pairs of anklets kept in the cupboard and Rs 84 thousand in cash were found missing.
Jewelery worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 84 thousand were stolen from this. Sadar Kotwali in-charge Jitendra Pratap Singh said that cameras have been installed in the house of the victim and his neighbours, during investigation no one was seen committing theft. SP Vinod Kumar says that the matter has been investigated. After getting evidence, a case will be registered and action will be taken.
