Thieves Took Away Jewelery Worth Lakhs And Cash Worth Rs 45 Thousand In Amethi, Police Did Not Reach Even After Complaint

Samvad Sutra, Bazarshukul, (Amethi). The thieves targeted two houses and took away jewelery worth lakhs and cash worth Rs 45 thousand. When the homeowner came to know about the incident in the morning, the police was informed. Even after this the police did not consider it appropriate to reach on time. Due to which there is anger among the villagers.

They took out the box kept in the room and removed its latch on the terrace outside and ran away with the gold and silver jewelery worth around Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 45 thousand in cash received from selling paddy.

The victim informed the police about the incident in the morning. But the police did not reach the incident site till ten o'clock. Not only this, the thieves also targeted the house of Rambaran Sahu in the same village and broke the latch of the living room door through the roof and entered the house.

Where they opened the cupboard and chest in the room and left with silver jewelery worth thousands of rupees. The victim was sleeping with his family members in the verandah next to the courtyard of the house.

The victim's wife Karampathi told that when she woke up in the morning to take bath, she saw that her room was open and all the stuff was scattered, so she informed her relatives. The woman told that thieves had taken away silver anklets, children's girdles and bracelets and about a dozen sarees from her house.

Earlier on Saturday night, two thieves together stole rice, flour and pulses from Sai Ashram located on Inhauna road of Sidhauli. One of these thieves escaped and the other one was caught. But the police released him saying that he was mentally challenged.

However, no complaint was given to the police by the donor of the ashram. Earlier, on the night of 14-15, thieves opened the panels installed on the tube wells of Chandrabhushan and Bhagwan Dutt Shukla, residents of Andipur, due to which both the farmers suffered a loss of thousands of rupees.

Two days before this, thieves took away the baton and blow machine of Ramakant and Nand Kumar Tiwari, residents of Bhoja Tiwari, and a quintal wrapped pipe of Maharajdin Shukla.

The incidence of theft is continuously increasing

The terror of thieves is increasing from tube wells to homes, due to which the villagers are losing sleep. The police neither write incident reports nor are able to stop the incidents of theft.

The incidents are under consideration. On receiving the complaint, action will be taken after filing a report. Patrolling will be increased to prevent incidents of theft. -Vivek Verma, Police Station Head.
