Any person visiting a prisoner in jail is prohibited from carrying a mobile phone. This came to light when the girl posted the video of meeting her boyfriend in jail on social media.
This video that has surfaced from Raipur has raised questions on the security arrangements of the jail. This is being considered as serious negligence on the part of the officials.

In the video shared by the girl, the jailed youth is said to be Tarakeshwar, who is lodged in Raipur Central Jail. According to the information, a few days ago the girl had reached jail to meet her boyfriend on his birthday.
Many questions have been raised on law and order after the video surfaced. Carrying a phone in the visiting room of the jail is completely prohibited. Any person going to meet the jail is allowed to meet the prisoner only after investigation.
Raipur Central Jail Superintendent Yogesh Singh Kshatriya said on this matter, 'The information about the video has been received through internet media. When was the video made and how was it made? It will be tested. After this, action will be taken against those responsible.
