In the year 2005, Angrez Singh was rescued by his associates by putting a tractor in front of the police vehicle near Beldi on Haridwar Road.
While leaving, the miscreants also looted the weapons of the police. At the same time, in the year 2016, gangster Devpal Rana, who had appeared in Roorkee's Ramnagar court, was shot dead by miscreants in police custody in the premises. Even at that time Devpal Rana was in police custody.

In the court, a criminal was being freed by his associates after attacking the police and running away. Meanwhile, a policeman shot three miscreants who were running away on a bike with a 3-not-3 rifle. In which Shamim, Sweety and Bhupendra were killed.
There was a gang war outside the jail
On August 5, 2014, there was a gang war between the henchmen of notorious Chinu Pandit and Sunil Rathi outside Roorkee sub-jail. Chinu Pandit was being released from jail on the evening of 5th August. At the same time, Sunil Rathi's henchmen attacked him with carbines. In which Chinu Pandit and his brother had a narrow escape. While three of Chinu's companions were killed. Even at that time, many questions were raised on the security of the police.
