Jagran correspondent, Bagaha (West Champaran). Bagaha accident: Late Tuesday night, a speeding truck crushed a tractor driver near Panchfedwa of Bhairoganj police station area on Bagaha-Bettiah NH-727. A 22-year-old youth was seriously injured in the accident.
With the help of local people, he was taken to Sub-Divisional Hospital Bagaha, where after first aid, seeing his condition critical, the doctors referred him to Bettiah GMCH. The young man died on the way while being taken to Bettiah.
The deceased has been identified as Govind Shah, father Vigan Shah. He is said to be a resident of Nibhihwa village of Madhubani area across Gandak. According to the information, Govind Shah was coming to Bagaha Sugar Mill after loading sugarcane on a tractor-trolley on Monday.
Meanwhile, the trolley went out of control and overturned on the way. After this, on Tuesday he was again loading sugarcane on the trolley when he was hit by a speeding truck.
There was chaos among the family members after the incident. The police reached the information and started investigating the matter. The truck driver fled from the spot, efforts are being made to identify him. On Wednesday, the body of the deceased was brought to Sub-Divisional Hospital Bagaha for post-mortem.
