Transport Rules Are Being Flouted In Ghaziabad, 28 Thousand Vehicles Running On The Roads After The Fitness Period Is Over.

Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. Transport rules are being openly flouted on the roads of the district. Despite the expiry of the fitness certificate, thousands of vehicles are running fearlessly on the roads, but the responsible departments are turning a blind eye. The figures of the Transport Department itself indicate the seriousness of the situation.

According to the data, there are 28,642 vehicles in the district whose fitness period has expired, yet there is no ban on their operation. The most worrying situation is that of e-rickshaws, which are running from narrow streets to main roads without fitness certificate. 12,765 e-rickshaws are running on the roads without fitness.

Many accidents have happened due to technical flaws, despite this neither an intensive campaign was conducted nor strictness was shown by the Transport Department. Apart from e-rickshaws, 9,650 goods vehicles are also plying on the roads without fitness.

Auto rickshaws are also beyond the rules, with 4,632 autos running without fitness certificates. Not only this, 47 buses and 1,915 taxis have also expired. In this regard, RTO Enforcement Siyaram Verma said that checking campaign is conducted every day. And action is also taken against vehicles found without fitness.
