Jagran correspondent, Badaun. The Transport Department and the Public Works Department have started a survey regarding the frequent road accidents in the district. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the tracks on some routes are low and at many places the paths are hidden by bushes. Accidents are happening frequently because of them. If these bushes are cleared then perhaps accidents will reduce.
Apart from this, some other reforms will also prevent accidents. Let us tell you that even after safety work was done in the district, the accidents did not stop. In the last three days, six people lost their lives in eight accidents, while eight people were injured. Frequent accidents have become a cause for concern.
Recently, Save Life Foundation had conducted a survey of all the districts of the state and submitted its report. 111 accident sites were also identified in Badaun district and Badaun district came at number 18 in the state in terms of road accidents. The report submitted by Save Life Foundation. On that basis, a claim was made to carry out reforms.
It is being told that after the recent meeting of the Road Safety Committee, the Transport Department and the Public Works Department have started the survey of all the accident sites. There it is being seen as to why accidents are happening. During a two-day survey, it came to light that on some routes the tracks were lower than the road.
Often accidents happen to bike riders while coming from the tracks to the road or their bikes fall, due to which they lose their lives. Secondly, it has also come to light that on many routes the paths are hidden due to bushes, due to which the vehicle coming from the front is not visible.
The accident in which five people died in Bisauli Kotwali area. This was the reason for that also. If these flags are cleaned, vehicles coming from the front will be visible to a great extent, which will definitely reduce accidents.
Speed limit boards and white sign boards will also be installed at some places, which will improve things to a great extent. At present both the departments are conducting survey in the district. More reasons may emerge after its full report comes.
A survey regarding road safety has been started in the district. Many things have come to light in the two-day survey. Firstly, it has come to light that the paths are not visible due to the bushes on the roads or at the intersections, due to which accidents are happening continuously. Currently the survey is going on, wherever improvements are needed, they will be done.
