This house is counted among the most expensive residences in Mumbai. According to the report, the price of 'Abode' is said to be around Rs 3,716 crore, while its value in the market has been estimated at Rs 5000 crore. This luxurious building is located in Pali Hill area of ​​Mumbai. It is a 66 meter high and 17 storey building.

15700 crores attached till now

ED has taken this action under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The agency says that so far assets worth more than Rs 15,700 crore (Anil Ambani total attachment 15700 crore) have been attached against Anil Ambani and his group companies. The capture of 'Abode' is part of this larger action.

A big matter came to light on 23 February

Another major development in the case came to light on February 23, when the Bombay High Court canceled the old interim order granting relief to Anil Ambani. Earlier, the single judge bench had stayed the process of declaring his and Reliance Communications Limited's bank accounts as fraud.

Ambani's demand for ban rejected

A division bench of Chief Justice Alok Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam A Ankhad, hearing the petitions of Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank, Indian Overseas Bank and auditor BDO India LLP, termed the interim order as illegal and an irregularity in procedure.

The court clearly said that continuing to stay such order would amount to continuing the illegal situation. Therefore Ambani's demand for a ban was rejected.

In December 2025, the single bench had restrained banks from issuing show cause notices and fraud classification proceedings. But now after the decision of the division bench, the way has been cleared for the banks to take further action.

As per RBI guidelines, commercial banks can classify an account as fraud. In such a situation, ED's action against Anil Ambani and 'Abode' has created a stir in the business and legal circles.
