Jagran correspondent, Badaun. The largest part of the 594 km Ganga Express from Meerut to Prayagraj, about 95 km, passes through Badaun. This part of the district comes in the first sector of this entire work. Almost all the work in this largest part of the project has been completed. These days, finishing work and some work around the toll plaza is left.
It is being told that trial can be held here also in the first month of January. To complete these, the DM has instructed the executing organization to complete the work by 31st December. The 95 km stretch of Ganga Expressway passing through the district is being executed by the executing agency HG Infra. Three interchanges have been built for this in the district.
One interchange has been built near Vankota in Wazirganj, the second near Ghatpuri in Binawar and the third interchange has been built near Papad village in Dataganj. Tolls have been made at all three interchanges i.e. at the landing and boarding points. The construction work of Ganga Expressway has been going on for about three and a half years, which is now more than 99 percent complete.
These days, the work of removing the construction material lying at various places on the expressway, finishing work, painting, painting etc. is being done. Apart from this, work on the point being built to deduct toll tax is also in the final stage. It is said that a trial can take place on Ganga Expressway any time in the month of January of the new year. After this, its launch date will also be announced soon. Although nothing has been decided yet, discussions are going on about starting it in the new year.
A few days ago, several accidents took place on the Ganga Expressway. Apart from the death of two businessmen resident of Bisauli in the district, an accident also took place in Sambhal. Dainik Jagran, while investigating during that time, had published the news of roads being open at many places. After this, the DM took cognizance and completely closed all the routes climbing the expressway by digging pits etc.
Arrangements for safety of passengers also
SSP Dr. Brijesh Kumar Singh said that the authority is also constructing check posts at various places on the Ganga Expressway for the safety of passengers. Where the security company appointed by him will definitely work. Besides, police force will also be deployed here by them. For this, a post is being set up in an area of about twenty km. So that there is no lapse in the safety of passengers.
No information has been given yet regarding when the Ganga Expressway will start or whether the trial will take place. But instructions have been given to the concerned executing agency to complete the work. They have been asked to complete the work by 31st December.
