Indoor services will start being available in the Super Specialty Hospital from March 2026, while on the other hand, in SNMMCH, people will be able to get treatment with many modern machines and medical methods. The new year has brought new expectations. Rejuvenation of SNMMCH for Rs 700 crore. A new 10 storey hospital building with 450 beds will be built in the Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Medical College and Hospital premises. Existing old buildings will be renovated. The present PG building will be converted into OPD and IPD.
The present 570 bed capacity will be expanded to 1090 beds. Also, MBBS seats will be increased from 100 to 250 and PG seats will be increased from 19 to 100. For this, Rs 700 crore will be spent by the government. Work will start here from March. Dhanbad gets second medical college. A new medical college will be established in the Sadar Hospital campus on PPP model at a cost of Rs 352 crore. This hospital will have a facility of 420 beds. With the completion of this project, the base of medical education and health services in the district will be further strengthened. There will be 100 seats for MBBS. Work on this will start from March 2026. Indoor service of Super Specialty Hospital: People of Dhanbad will start getting indoor service this year in Super Specialty Hospital. People of Dhanbad will not need to go out for heart disease, neuro, cancer, gastroenterology, plastic surgery. Apart from Dhanbad, patients from Bokaro, Giridih and Santhal Pargana will also be able to come here. This hospital will be ready in the year 2017. 1.67 billion rupees have been spent for this. Dialysis service in Red Cross With the help of the district administration, dialysis service will be started this year in the Red Cross Society building. A 10 bed dialysis center will be built here. Free dialysis service will be provided to poor patients here. Therefore, doctors and staff will also be deployed. There will be doctors from SNMMCH and Sadar Hospital. Along with this, OPD service will also start here soon. 30 types of tests in Ayushman Arogya Mandir. This year 37 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been built. There are a total of 180 centers in Dhanbad. In this, people will be able to get the services of 30 different types of tests for free. This includes BP-sugar along with other pathology tests. With this, local people will be able to get reports on time. At present CHO has been deployed here. Many modern treatment services in SNMMCH: This year, patients will be able to get many modern services in SNMMCH. Cataract operation of patients will be done through phaco method. The process of installing the machine for this is going on. C arm machine has been installed in the orthopedics department. Patients will not have to wait long for the operation. This year, CT scan and MRI services will be available free of cost in the medical college. For this, machines have been installed in the Super Specialty Hospital. Dhanbad will get Panchakram Center. Common people will be able to get the service of Panchakram Center in Sadar Hospital premises from the District AYUSH Department. Five less centers have been built here at a cost of Rs 55 lakh. Various diseases can be cured here through Ayurvedic medicine. This service will be provided to us absolutely free of cost. Dhanbad will be made a medical hub. This is the center of Santal Pargana and Ranchi. The new medical college will be built in three years.
