Tejashwi Yadav cornered Nitish government in NEET student case

State Bureau, Patna. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has strongly attacked the Bihar government's decision to hand over the investigation to CBI in the case of rape and murder of a NEET student. In his statement issued on January 31, 2026, Tejashwi Yadav said that by recommending a CBI investigation instead of highlighting the matter, the Bihar government has once again proved that the administrative structure of the state has become corrupt, inefficient, inefficient and unprofessional.

Tejashwi Yadav said that the system of Bihar is unable to solve even a heinous rape and murder case. He alleged that this is more a failure of the corrupt and compromised system of the NDA government than the police, whose leaders, ministers and chief ministers, keep claiming day and night to catch criminals.

The Leader of Opposition, citing the Navruna case, said that in many cases the CBI could not catch the accused for 12-13 years and ultimately the investigation was closed. He expressed apprehension that the same fate could befall the NEET girl case.

Tejashwi Yadav raised the question that where are those who raised the slogan of 'Jungle Raj' during elections now? Who will take responsibility for the broken and corrupt law and order system of Bihar? He also alleged that the government is trying to divert attention from real issues through headline management.

It is noteworthy that amidst the opposition and increasing pressure from the victim's family, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recommended the investigation of this case by CBI.
