Tis Hazari Court has sent five accused to judicial custody for 13 days in the stone pelting incident at Faiz-e-Ilahi Mosque near Turkman Gate.

In the case of stone pelting incident near Faiz-e-Ilahi Mosque near Turkman Gate, a Judicial Magistrate Court of Tis Hazari on Thursday sent five accused to 13-day judicial custody. All the accused were produced before Judicial Magistrate Pooja Suhag, who ordered them to be sent to judicial custody. The bail pleas of all the five accused will be heard on Friday.
The accused sent to judicial custody have been identified as Mohammad Arib, Kashif, Adnan, Mohammad Kaif and Sameer. Delhi Police had registered an FIR against all of them at Chandni Mahal Police Station on Wednesday.
According to the police, the accused have been booked under Indian Judicial Code (BNS) sections 221 (obstructing a government servant in the discharge of his public functions), 132 (assaulting a government servant to prevent him from performing his duty), 121 (voluntarily causing hurt to prevent a government servant from discharging his duty), 191 (rioting), 223(A) (disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a government servant), and A case has been registered under 3(5) (collective responsibility).
Sections of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 have also been imposed. A total of 11 people have been arrested so far in this case, including a minor.
