Big Revelation Of Fake Branded Rice In Bahraich, Case Registered Against Eight Traders

Jagran correspondent, Bahraich. If you are buying rice packed in bags of well-known brands, then be careful. In the Terai district adjacent to the border, rice is being sold using a fake Girami brand. This came to light when Dehat Kotwali police registered a case against eight businessmen under serious sections.

Vijay Kumar Aggarwal, director of Bhagwati Traders, resident of Pandeyganj, Lucknow, said that he received a complaint about supply of substandard and adulterated rice in sacks in the name of his registered trademark.

When the market was inspected in Bahraich, it was confirmed that some adulterants and hoarders were copying their trademarks. His nephew Vishal Mittal also found rice being sold under the trademark name in many shops.

A complaint letter in the matter was given to the SP demanding action. The SP took the entire incident seriously and ordered to register a case against the adulterators.

Kotwal Daddan Singh said that on the complaint of Vijay Kumar Aggarwal, a case has been registered under serious sections against Ghasiyaripura residents Savita Malani, Savitri Devi Malani, Nitesh Kumar Malani, Narendra Kumar Malani, Amit Aggarwal, Rinku, Ajay Aggarwal, Manzoor, Manteen. He said that the matter is being investigated.

Dehat Kotwal Daddan Singh said that the victim Vijay Aggarwal has alleged that adulterated substandard rice was being sold by the operators of Malani Dal Mill located at Ghasiyaripura in the area, M/s Tirupati Traders located at Station Road in Dargah area, Rehman Industries and Mantin Sahil Traders located at Dargah Salarganj using their trademark name. This is being investigated.
