Digital Desk, Gwalior. On Friday, a careless incident took away two innocent lives on Kunwarpura Road under Kotwali police station area of Tikamgarh city. Two brothers, 7-year-old Ashish Yadav and 5-year-old Narendra Yadav, died tragically after drowning in an open pit of a septic tank dug for an under-construction house in Shivnagar Colony.
This accident is not just an accident, but is the result of criminal negligence on the part of the building owner and the contractor, which left a happy family in mourning for life. The police is now investigating the matter. The bodies were sent to the hospital for PM. According to the information, Sachendra Yadav, resident of Lakhaura village, lived on rent in Shivnagar Colony. Whose children Ashish and Narendra had gone out to play outside the house at around 3 o'clock on Friday afternoon after returning from school and having dinner.
Till 5 pm, both the innocent children were seen playing carefree in the CCTV cameras installed in the colony. When evening approached and the children did not return home, the concern of the relatives increased. Father and neighbors searched for him in the streets and called out, but no response was found. While searching late at night, when people reached a nearby house under construction, they were shocked to see the scene there. Children's slippers were floating on the septic tank filled to the brim with water.

Searching in the dark and then silence
As soon as the apprehension deepened, the water in the tank was immediately emptied by installing a motor pump. As the water receded, the dead bodies of both the innocent people became visible. When the bodies of the children were taken out in the silence of the night, the eyes of every person present there became moist. Police reached the spot and took the bodies to the district hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
Where are my children? Mother's scream made everyone cry
The children's mother is in deep shock after this incident. She is repeatedly asking the same question, 'Where are my children, bring them home.' These screams of the mother have shocked everyone from the hospital to the locality. The tears in the father's eyes have dried; he is looking towards the under-construction house where not even a single brick was laid in the name of safety.
Case registered against landlord and contractor
There is huge anger among the local people regarding the incident. As per rules, leaving any deep pit or tank open in residential areas is prohibited. Kotwali police station in-charge Brijendra Singh Ghoshi said that in this case, clear negligence of under-construction landlord Pushpendra Singh Yadav and contractor Rampal Singh Parihar has come to light. A case has been registered against both of them under Section 106 (1) of BNS and a search has been started for them.
