Jagran correspondent, Bathinda. A case of death of a newly married couple under suspicious circumstances has come to light in Talwandi Sabo town of the district. After the health of Ramandeep Singh and his wife Manjot Kaur suddenly deteriorated, they were admitted to the hospital, where both of them died during treatment.
Ramandeep and Manjot got married about 11 months ago. Both of them started vomiting late on Monday night, after which the family members took them to Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Civil Hospital. Manjot was declared dead on reaching the hospital, while Ramandeep's condition remained critical.
After some time Ramandeep also died. As soon as information about the incident was received, DSP Harpreet Singh reached the hospital with the police team and started investigating the case. He said that the cause of death is not yet clear and all aspects are being taken into consideration.
According to doctors, the bodies of the couple have been sent for post-mortem. The actual cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report comes. Police have said that further legal action will be taken based on the report.
