People who have cards also have to face problems at times in getting free treatment. If someone's Ayushman card is lost then he has to face trouble in getting a duplicate made. Surprisingly, an Ayushman Center has been built in the District Civil Badshah Khan Hospital, but there is no printer here. In such a situation, people coming to get the card made are asked to get the card made from outside. A similar situation emerged on Friday.
People are not coming forward to get cards made
Let us tell you that till now Ayushman cards have been made for about 7.90 lakh people in the district. According to the records of the Health Department, cards of about two lakh people are yet to be made. Many people are not coming forward to get cards made.
13 Ayushman Mitras in health centers
Many people have to face problems when they come to the civil hospital. The number of Ayushman Mitras appointed by the Health Department in civil hospitals and health centers is less. There are three Ayushman Mitras in the Civil Hospital and 13 Ayushman Mitras in other health centres. Their job is to assist in making cards and help the cardholders in treatment.
Subhan, a resident of Fatehpur Taga village and Ayushman card holder, got the job of painting a house in Sector-8. He fell from the roof while working here. He has suffered serious leg injuries. He went to a private hospital for treatment and spent thousands of rupees there.
Later his family brought him to the civil hospital. Subhan's wife Saliman and daughter Rahmati told that their cards were lost. Ayushman had gone to the center to get new cards made, but he was told to get them printed from outside. They don't have a printer at their place yet.

People whose family annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh. He can avail the benefits of Ayushman Yojana. On behalf of the Health Department, citizens can get cards made in hospitals as well as health centres. If citizens wish, they can also get the card made from Atal Seva Kendras.
"Earlier the printer had broken down, which has now been fixed. Cardholders should remember their Ayushman ID. The ID is required during treatment. Citizens should come forward to get the Ayushman card made. To improve the system, we are appointing more Ayushman Mitras. Where there is a shortage, Ayushman Mitras will be appointed."
