Two Murders For Dowry In Darbhanga, Major Action Against Absconding Sons-in-law, Property Confiscated

Dialogue Associate, Singhwara (Darbhanga). On Friday, the police of Simri police station attached the property of two sons-in-law in the case of separate murder of father-in-law and wife for dowry. First the police took action in Kansi village.

Where the police confiscated every property of half a dozen people of his family, including the son-in-law accused of murdering his father-in-law for dowry. Police station incharge Arvind Kumar Sadal had arrived to take action.

Where absconding accused son-in-law Jitendra Sahni, his father Raju Sahni, mother Rekha Devi along with brother-in-law Dharmendra Sahni, Siyaram Sahni, and Sushil Sahni were first searched. After this, one by one the police seized the utensils, gate, box, post etc. and went away with them.

Jitendra's wife Soni Kumari had lodged an FIR regarding the matter. Let us inform that on the information of harassment for dowry, Soni's father Lalbabu Sahni, resident of Belsandi of Samastipur Chakmehsi police station, reached his daughter's house on June 10, 2024. Where all the accused beat him to death.

Lalbabu died after being treated at PMCH after being referred from DMCH. Since then all the accused are absconding. On the other hand, in Madhopur, the police took action to confiscate the house of Nagendra Sah, the absconding accused who murdered his wife for dowry.

Ramsharan Sah, resident of Parbatta village of Bisfi police station in Madhubani district, had lodged an FIR against Nagendra for dowry death four years ago. In this, he accused his son-in-law of killing his daughter for dowry.
