State Bureau, Lucknow. Preparations for Census 2027 have gained momentum in Uttar Pradesh. The first phase of census in the state is proposed from May 22 to June 20.
With this the formal countdown of the census has started. To ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated time, the training system is being implemented in a phased manner.
The training of national trainers has been completed in Delhi. Now these trainers will train master trainers at the state level. State level training of master trainers is likely to start in Lucknow from February. After the training, master trainers will go to the districts and prepare the enumerators and supervisors working in the field.
A total of 33 questions will be asked in the first phase of the census. It will contain questions related to details related to the head of the family, facilities available and acquired in the family. This time the entire process will be digital. Enumerators will download a special census app on their mobile phones and record the data through that.
This will not only save time, but will also increase the accuracy of data. Trial has already been conducted in some areas of Bulandshahr, Bahraich and Prayagraj in the state.
Based on the feedback received from there, the mobile app is being made more simple and user-friendly. According to officials, enumerators and supervisors will have to fill all the information through the app, hence special emphasis is being laid on technical training.
