UIDAI's new Aadhaar App has more than 50 features like secure offline verification, selective data sharing and mobile number update. Its purpose is to make managing your digital identity easier, safer and more convenient, right from your smartphone.
This new Aadhaar app allows users to securely share contact details whenever needed, without revealing complete identity information.
Through the New Aadhaar App, you can manage the Aadhaar details of your children or dependents for your family from a single device.

The new Aadhaar app is designed to make Aadhaar easier to manage, safer and more practical for everyday use. UIDAI has pointed out that despite repeated advisories, people across India still share photocopies of Aadhaar for hotel check-in, SIM cards, office verification and other things, increasing the risk of misuse of data.
What are the features of the new Aadhaar app?
Through the new Aadhaar app, UIDAI aims to solve this problem by enabling offline Aadhaar verification, where identity can be confirmed without sharing the Aadhaar number or biometric data, making everyday authentication more secure and controlled. Additionally, the app allows users to update important details like mobile number and address and share selected Aadhaar information without giving a physical copy.
How to update mobile number and address with New Aadhar App
Aadhaar app users can update their mobile number and address directly through the app. Below we have explained the step by step process.
Open the Aadhaar app and log in using Aadhaar-based authentication. Go to the ‘Update Aadhaar Details’ section on the home screen. Select whether you want to update your mobile number or address. Enter the new details and submit the request for verification. Complete the authentication as per the instructions in the app. You will have to pay a fee of Rs 75 for the update. Once verified, the update request will be processed and reflected in the Aadhaar record.
