Railvan app becomes new digital platform for passengers, UTS mobile service ends

Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. Ministry of Railways has decided to permanently discontinue “UTS on Mobile” app service with effect from 01 March 2026. After this, now all passengers will have to book tickets through “Railvan” app only. According to the PRA of Malda Division, this step has been taken as part of the digital transformation campaign of Indian Railways to increase passenger convenience and provide an integrated digital platform.

The services of UTS on Mobile and Rail Connect have now been integrated into the RailOne app. This means passengers will be able to avail features like reserved, unreserved and platform ticket booking as well as train, coach and platform status, PNR information, live train running status, lodge complaints, order catering etc with a single log-in ID and password. Earlier, one had to use different apps and platforms for all these services, like reserved tickets from IRCTC, live train status from NTES, complaints from Rail Madad and catering from Food on Track. Now everything will be available in a single app.

Passengers are being given a discount of 3 percent while booking tickets through Railvan app. Earlier this discount was available only on purchasing unreserved tickets through R-Wallet, but now this facility will be available on payment through UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking and non-banking apps also. Three percent bonus will also be given on R-Wallet recharge. The move is important to promote digital payments and will encourage cashless transactions.

Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, the option of connecting journey is now also available in Railvan App. The advantage is that when it is not possible to reach the destination by a direct train, the app suggests better travel options to passengers based on the connecting train and station. It also shows the time difference between the primary and secondary train, so that waiting for the connection at the station is smooth and accurate.

RailOne App thus becomes a complete platform ensuring convenience, digital accessibility and cashless payments for passengers.

The RailOne app was launched by CRIS (Central Railway Information Centre) as a beta version in January 2026. It can be downloaded from Play Store and App Store. Through the app, passengers will not be limited to just ticket booking but will also be able to get platform tickets, reserved tickets, live train information, coach position, PNR status, train status, grievance redressal and catering facilities at one place.

This integrated platform will save time for passengers and there will be no need to search for different trains by changing station codes. Along with the ease of ticket booking, secure and cashless transactions will be ensured. Railway officials say that the RailOne app will help in making digital access simpler and faster for passengers while also providing safety, convenience and economic benefits. RailOne App thus becomes a key part of the digital initiatives of Indian Railways, providing a modern and convenient ticketing experience to passengers.
