Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. Uttarakhand Ka Mausam: After two days of clouds and light rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand, the weather opened on Friday. There was heavy smoke from the mountains to the plains and a huge rise in mercury was also recorded.
Heat was felt in most areas with the mercury rising by three to five degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may remain dry in the state even today. Whereas, there is a possibility of partly cloudy sky and light rain and snowfall in the hilly areas on Sunday.
There was bright sunshine in most areas including Dehradun since Friday morning. The heat increased during the day and the heat was felt from the mountains to the plains. Along with this, in most areas an increase of three to five degrees Celsius was recorded in mercury within a single day.
Before this, clouds were hovering over the state for the last two days and light rain was also recorded at some places. Especially in Kumaon, there was heavy rain in some areas.
The weather will remain dry
According to the Meteorological Center, the weather may remain dry in the state on Saturday. The temperature is also expected to be above normal.
There may be snowfall on Sunday
On Sunday, there may be partly cloudy sky in the hilly areas and light rain and snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. Due to which the mercury is expected to reduce by two to three degrees Celsius.
