Since Tuesday morning, snowfall is continuing in Kedarnath, Gangotri, Nanda Devi, Trishul, Rajarambha etc. The weather in Dehradun was clear and sunny in the morning, but in the afternoon the weather suddenly changed and there was light rain.
According to the Meteorological Department, due to the activation of the latest western disturbance, hailstorm and thunderstorm are forecast in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag and Almora on Tuesday. Its orange alert has been issued.
The weather has again changed in the border areas of Pithoragarh district. On Tuesday, the high peaks of the Himalayas including Nanda Devi, Nandakot, Hardeval, Trishul, Panchachuli, Rajarambha and other peaks have been experiencing snowfall since morning.
Due to weather warning, holiday has been declared in all government, non-government, private schools and Anganwadi centers from classes 1 to 12 across the district.
