Samvad Sutra, Purola (Uttarakashi). A glimpse of the rich folk culture and faith of the region was seen in the two-day Devgot fair at the foothills of Kedar Kantha and base camp Sankri Saud village, the world famous tourist spot.
During this time, a large number of Rayani-Dhyanis arrived from remote villages and danced Raso-Tandi and danced enthusiastically.

In the Devgot fair organized in tourist village Saud Sankri, the women of Sankari Saud who got married from other villages including Panchgani, Ador, Badasu, Singatur Patti, reached their maternal home Saud village and the women participated in the grand fair for two days and worshiped Someshwar Maharaj, the presiding deity of the area, and prayed for the well-being of their parents' and in-laws' side.
After the Tandi folk dance and cultural presentations, fair organizers and villagers also honored the meditators who had come from far-flung villages.
Chain Singh Rawat of the village said that the Devgoti fair is a divine gathering festival of the married women, married women and friends of a remote village meeting after years and knowing about their mutual happiness and sorrow, well-being and unity.
He told that Someshwar Maharaj's Devgot Mela is not just a religious event but is a living symbol of the region's cultural heritage and folk faith. Anwar Singh Rawat, Bhajan Singh Rawat, Chandramani Rawat, Bhagat Singh Rawat, Amar Singh Rawat and Atar Singh Panwar etc. were present in the fair.
