The temple administration is now struggling to allow VIPs and VVIPs from across the country to have darshan. In view of the difficulty in making arrangements, the temple administration on Wednesday issued a letter to those requesting for special darshan puja in the temple, requesting them not to perform special darshan puja. The temple administration has taken this decision in view of the huge crowd gathering in Baba Darbar.

Varanasi: 24-year-old Lavkush Patel committed suicide by hanging himself inside a room in the sewage treatment plant complex located in Ramna of Lanka police station area. Lavkush was posted as a contract driver of the Water Department. Guard Ranjit Patel informed the police and the relatives of the deceased about the incident on Wednesday morning. On receiving the information, the relatives reached the spot and broke the door of the room and took out the body from inside. After this, they created a ruckus by vandalizing the room and accusing him of murder.

Varanasi: Due to the ongoing repair work on Rajghat bridge, vehicular traffic has been completely stopped. All types of vehicles are now coming through Ramnagar - Samne Ghat bridge and Vishwasundari bridge, resulting in severe traffic jam on Lanka Samne Ghat road. Traffic restrictions have been imposed from Tuesday night for the repair of Malviya Bridge, also known as Rajghat Bridge, located on Varanasi-Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg (Cantt to Padav Road).

Azamgarh: The body of Saurabh Gaur, the main accused named in the murder case of Sneha, a student of Ambedkar Nagar district, was found hanging with the help of a rope from a tree on the banks of Link Expressway near Zameen Nandana village of Atraulia police station area on Wednesday morning. There was a stir in the area on the news of the dead body being found. Police investigation revealed that the love affair between Saurabh Gaur and Sneha was going on for about a year. A year ago, Saurabh had gone to Sneha's house, where his relatives caught him and filed a case under serious sections. He went to jail in this case and came out on bail in November.

Chandauli: Traffic restrictions have been imposed from Tuesday night for the repair of Malviya Bridge (Rajghat Bridge) located on Varanasi-Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg (Cantt to Padav Marg). This restriction will continue till January 13, during which only pedestrians will be able to walk on the bridge. After the ban on vehicular traffic on the Rajghat bridge, only two wheelers, autos, e-rickshaws, light four wheelers, ambulances and hearses will be able to pass through the Ghat bridge. All types of big four wheelers, school buses, electronic buses, tapos, travelers and light/heavy goods vehicles traveling from Ramnagar to Varanasi city will pass through Vishwasundari Bridge.

Mumbai - Liquor tied with tape recovered under the generator car bogie of Bandra Terminal weekly train.

Ghazipur: In a joint action of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and GRP under Operation Vigilant, 41.64 liters of liquor was recovered from the toilet of sleeper coach of Down 22971 Mumbai Bandra Terminal train at the local station on Tuesday night. However, no person was caught from the spot during this period. RPF handed over the recovered liquor to GRP for further action. RPF Inspector Ganesh Rana said that they had received information through an informer that a huge quantity of liquor was hidden under the generator car of Down Mumbai Bandra Terminal Weekly Express train and in the toilet of the sleeper coach.
