Communication Assistant, Bounsi (Banka). The five-day annual festival started at Gurudham Ashram from Saturday. On the first day, the birth anniversary of the founder of the Ashram, Yogacharya Sanyal Baba, was celebrated with devotion, enthusiasm and enthusiasm. On this occasion, the disciples took out Prabhat Pheri with the picture of the Guru. The program started with the recitation of Ganesh Sahastranam by Pandit Omprakash Mishra on the idol installed in the main temple in Brahma Muhurta. After this, Vedic auspicious songs and recitation of all four Vedas were performed by the Pandits and Brahmacharis of Shyama Charan Veda Vidyapeeth.
Spiritual atmosphere with Prabhat Pheri, Vedic chanting, bhajan-kirtan
Pandit Gangadhar Mishra presented Mangal Aarti and Bhajan in Matruchhaya. There was a collective Geeta recitation under the leadership of Dr. Vishwambhar Nath Vagish. The special puja of Sanyal Baba was performed by Sheshadri Chakraborty and Pandit Devnarayan Sharma. The daily official puja was performed by Pandit Viveka in the main temple and Pandit Rajkant Kunwar in Matruchhaya. After Mangal Aarti, Panchamrit Abhishek was done by the Guru brothers and sisters for one hour. In the evening, the whole ashram became devotional with the singing of bhajans and kirtans by the Guru and his disciples.
A large number of disciples and devotees have arrived from different states to participate in the annual festival. In the afternoon offerings were made to the Gurus. After which Prasad distribution started among the devotees. In the stall of books written by Yogacharya Bhupendra Nath Sanyal in the ashram premises, many books including self-exploration, routine, practice yoga and spiritual interpretation of Srimad Bhagwat Geeta are being purchased by the devotees. The annual festival of Param Gurudev Lahiri Baba will be celebrated on the occasion of Magh Shukla Saptami on Sunday.
Shyama Charan Ved Vidyapeeth is the center of Vedic tradition.
Shyama Charan Veda Vidyapeeth based on Gurukul tradition has been established in front of Gurudham Ashram, where children of eight to ten years of age are selected for Veda study. Every year 22 students are given Veda education here. Present Acharya Prabhat Kumar Sanyal has also been a student of this university.
Tomorrow Guru Diksha and Vidra Narayan Seva
On January 26, Guru Diksha will be given by Prabhat Kumar Sanyal and Gurumata Devasena Chakraborty. More than a hundred devotees will be given initiation, while as per tradition, Daridra Narayan Seva will be conducted among more than a thousand needy people.
Stoppage of trains for the convenience of devotees
Due to the annual festival, one minute stoppage of local and express trains has been given near Gurudham Gate from 24 to 28 January. The stoppage of all trains except Vande Bharat is providing convenience to the devotees to reach the Ashram.
