Jagran correspondent, Sambhal. Now there will be no fraud of any kind in making the pollution certificate of the vehicle. Because now the Transport Department has complicated this process. Now OTP will come on the registered mobile number of the vehicle owner and further process will happen only after feeding that OTP. Whereas till now this process was not done on the portal.

Three lakh 30 thousand 386 vehicles are registered in the district. Which includes car, bike, bus, truck, tractor etc. While driving these vehicles, the driver has to carry the valid certificates of the vehicle along with his driving license. In which vehicle registration certificate, insurance, pollution certificate are mandatory.

Whereas during the operation of commercial and goods carrying vehicles, along with these forms, many other forms including fitness, permit are required. While most of the forms are issued by the department, the pollution certificate is issued after testing at the authorized testing centers by the department.

Till now the vehicle was taken to the inspection center to get this certificate made. Where after entering the registration number of the vehicle on the portal, its complete details were available. In this process, after the center operator asked for the mobile number of the vehicle owner, it was entered on the portal.

But, now the Transport Department has changed this process. In which after entering the vehicle registration number on the portal, a four digit OTP is sent to the registered mobile number of the vehicle owner. In this, the last four digits of the vehicle owner's mobile number are visible.

After entering the OTP on the portal, the complete details of the vehicle will appear on the screen and after completing the further process, the certificate will be issued. The special thing is that during vehicle checking, if any vehicle is found without pollution certificate, then action will be taken against it and the vehicle will be challaned. In which a fine of ten thousand rupees can be imposed on them.

Till now, after entering the vehicle registration number on the portal, complete details of the vehicle were available. In this we could enter mobile number. But now after feeding the registration number, OTP was sent to the registered mobile number of the vehicle owner. Only after this, by feeding the four digit OTP on the portal, the complete data of the vehicle comes and only after verification, the pollution certificate is issued.

After the new process, the certificate cannot be issued without verification. Because the further process will take place only after the pollution center operator feeds the OTP on the portal. There will be no fraud of any kind in issuing certificates.
