Verdict In Badaun 2012 Murder Case, Life Imprisonment To Four Culprits, Fine Of Rs 40 Thousand Also Imposed

In a 2012 case of murder by luring people on the pretext of repaying loan amount, four accused, including three real brothers, have been found guilty by Additional Sessions Judge Chamber II Rekha Sharma and sentenced to life imprisonment. Besides, a fine of Rs 40,000 each has been imposed on two culprits and a fine of Rs 30,000 each on two other culprits.

A fine of Rs 40-40 thousand was imposed on two culprits while a fine of Rs 30-30 thousand was imposed on two others.

According to the prosecution, Omwati, a resident of Hasanganj village in the Rajpura police station of Sambhal district, while giving a written complaint in the Rajpura police station, said that 15 days ago, she had come to her mother's village Chandu Nagla. Her husband Dharamveer and son Jagdish had also come with her. On November 15, her husband was at her maternal home.

The accused had taken the husband along with them at night.

The same night at nine o'clock, Ramniwas alias Pappu, son of Krishnapal, Rajesh, Pappu, Suresh, resident of Mehua Hasanganj, Bhure, came to her house and took her husband away saying that they would give him the money he owed to them. They went away with their husband. He and his brother Veerpal son of Kalyan Singh alias Ramakrishna were present there. But her husband did not return till the next day. On this she told everything to her brother-in-law Bhimsen and Vijendra and while searching for her husband, Rajendra reached near the farm of Mevaram son of Nihali.

Where her husband's body was lying. He was shot dead. The police cracked the case by registering a murder FIR against Ramniwas, Rajendra, Pappu and Suresh. Chargesheet was filed after sending the accused to jail. Ramnivas, Rajendra, Pappu, Suresh were tried in the court on the charges of murdering Dharamveer Singh.

The judge reviewed the evidence available on the letter. After hearing the arguments of the prosecution's Additional Government Advocate Sanjeev Kumar Gupta and the defense counsel, all four were found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.
