Vehicles collided in an accident caused by fog.
Jagran correspondent, Jalandhar. Due to dense fog, a major road accident occurred on Jalandhar-Jammu National Highway. Due to fog, visibility was 50 meters and many vehicles collided with each other. It is a matter of relief that no casualties have been reported in this accident, although the vehicles have been heavily damaged.
According to the information, this accident happened near Kala Bakra village on Jalandhar-Jammu National Highway. There was dense fog in the area on Tuesday morning, due to which nothing was visible on the road. Meanwhile, an unknown truck was moving ahead, when a tipper coming from behind collided with it. After this collision, other vehicles running behind also collided with each other and within no time many vehicles became victims of the accident.

According to eyewitnesses, the fog was so dense that drivers could not even see the vehicle standing in front. There was chaos on the road after the sudden collision. As soon as information about the accident was received, the road safety force and police team reached the spot.
The team immediately took charge of the situation, removed the damaged vehicles from the road and controlled the traffic. Police officials said that no one has died in this accident, which is a matter of relief. However, many vehicles have been damaged.
Road safety force sidelined vehicles
The Road Safety Force moved the vehicles to the roadside and reopened the National Highway, due to which the traffic flowed smoothly. It is being told that due to dense fog, drivers are facing a lot of problems in many districts of Punjab.
The administration has appealed to the people to avoid unnecessary travel during fog and if it is necessary to travel, then keep the speed of vehicles low, use fog lights and maintain safe distance. At present the police is investigating the facts related to the accident and further action is being taken.
