There will be amendment in the voter list of Panchayat elections.
Samvad Sutra, Barabanki. People have lodged objections to add the missing names from the voter list of Panchayat elections. Whose number is more than 31 thousand. Now the administration has accelerated the disposal process. The final publication of the list will take place on February 6.
Provisional publication of voter list in Panchayat elections was done, claims and objections were being taken. Among those whose names were removed from the list, 19 thousand 525 people have lodged objections.
Now these names will be entered in the list again. At the same time, 1865 applications for amendment and 10 thousand 586 for deletion have been received. Disposal will be done by January 6.
The provisional publication of the list took place on 23 December.
Panchayat elections are to be held next year in 2026. The voter verification program was started by the Commission on 19 August. After the review which continued till November, the data was collected and filtered. The list was provisionally published on 23 December.
There were 22 lakh 57 thousand 630 voters at 3854 polling stations in 1155 gram panchayats in the district. After revision, 3.50 lakh 483 voters were increased. 2.66 lakh 836 voters were deleted. Duplicates, fake names, deceased and shifted included
After additions and subtractions, the number of voters in the district has increased by 83 thousand 647 from 2021. Now the total voters in the district are 23 lakh 59 thousand 277 voters.
District Assistant Election Officer Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that claim objections were being taken after the publication of the voter list of Panchayat elections. About 31 thousand 976 objections have been received.
