Jagran correspondent, Udaipur. In Banswara district of Rajasthan, a parade of the accused of gang rape was taken out in the market of Ambapura police station area on Friday under the instructions of SP Sudhir Joshi and under the leadership of DSP Gopichand Meena.
The accused had placards in their hands on which it was written - 'We are rapists, forgive us, we made a mistake.' The purpose of this parade held in the market was not only to create fear of law in the minds of criminals, but also to awaken a sense of security among the public.
It is known that on the night of 21st December, eight accused stopped a woman traveling on a bike and beat up her brother-in-law and drove him away. After this the woman was raped throughout the night. On December 22, the police registered a case on the complaint of the victim.
After this the police arrested five accused. Two minors were also detained in this case. DSP said that the eighth accused involved in the gang rape incident was arrested from Madhya Pradesh.
All the main accused in this case are in police custody. Police officials made it clear that any type of crime against women will not be tolerated.
Rajasthan government will teach the story of bravery of two Sahibzadas to school children.
The Education Department of Rajasthan Government will now teach the story of bravery of two Sahibzados Zorawar Singh and Sahib Fateh Singh to school children. The story of both the Sahibzadas will be included in the school curriculum. With this the new generation will be inspired by national love and values.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said these things while addressing the workers and people of Sikh community after inaugurating the exhibition organized on Veer Bal Diwas at the BJP state office in Jaipur on Friday.
He said that the sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh is an immortal example of patriotism, protection of religion and human values. The government wants to inculcate a sense of human values and patriotism in children. The government is developing all the religious places and major tourist places. On this occasion, BJP State President Madan Rathod stressed on Hindu and Sikh unity and said that the values and feeling of patriotism of both the religions are the same.
