State Bureau, Jagran Dehradun. The government has become alert regarding incidents of forest fire in Uttarakhand during winter. The government will conduct an in-depth study to find out the reasons. Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal has given instructions to the department head in this regard.
Forest Minister Uniyal said that incidents of forest fire during winter are a matter of concern. It is necessary to investigate the reasons why fires are breaking out in the forests, especially in the higher Himalayan regions.
He said that instructions have been given to the Chief Forest Conservator, head of the Forest Department, to conduct a scientific study in view of these reasons. He said that after the study report, effective steps will be taken to deal with the situation.
