Especially newborns, small children and the elderly are being more affected by this disease. Due to cold food, cold water and changing weather, cases of this disease are emerging rapidly.

Every day about three dozen patients are reaching the OPD of Sadar Hospital with complaints of eosinophilia. All patients are being given proper treatment under the supervision of doctors.

Dr. Vikram Satyarthi, a doctor posted in OPD at Sadar Hospital, said that these days people are suffering from this disease due to increase in the number of white blood cells called eosinophils.

In medical language it is called eosinophilia. This disease is mostly caused by allergies and its cases increase during cold weather.

Many symptoms including fatigue, breathing problems

Dr. Satyarthi said that in this disease, patients experience symptoms like extreme fatigue, difficulty in breathing, persistent cough, stomach ache, diarrhea and itching on the skin. Its effect is more visible in children and elderly people. If not treated on time, the problem can become serious.

The doctor said that if children or elderly people show signs of unusual fatigue, breathing problems or allergies, then a blood test should be done immediately. Also allergy test is also necessary. No medicine should be taken without medical advice, as it can cause harm.

Make changes in diet, home remedies are also effective

Dr. Satyarthi said that to prevent and get relief from eosinophilia, more ginger, fenugreek, green vegetables and greens should be used in the diet. Also, consumption of honey and lukewarm water is beneficial. It is important to avoid cold water and cold foods.

Doctors have appealed to the people to take special care of children and newborns in the cold season, wear warm clothes and if any symptoms appear, immediately get checked at the nearest health center or sadar hospital.
