Samvad Sahayagi, Jagran Mussoorie: A wonderful confluence of folk culture, music and hill cuisine was seen on the third day of Mussoorie Winterline Carnival. The spectacular presentations of folk songs and folk dances based on Garhwali, Jaunpuri and Jaunsari culture on various stages mesmerized the tourists from India and abroad. The food festival organized on Mall Road won the hearts of the people with its mountain flavours.

Cabinet Minister and Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi inaugurated the food festival on Mall Road. In the food festival, Manduve (Koda) pizza, Manduve momos, Bhaddu dal, Sanvade and Urad dal pakoras became the choice of tourists. Minister Ganesh Joshi said that such events promote local cuisine and culture.

On the stage located at Gandhi Chowk, folk singer Meena Arya Group presented songs and dances based on the folk culture of Jaunsar, Jaunpur and Rawain region of Yamuna Valley, in which the tourists also danced enthusiastically. The presentation of Pramila Negi, Lakshmi Uniyal, Guddi Devi and Vineeta Telwal of Jhumelo Group was highly appreciated.

The presentation of fusion band on Hindi songs forced the youth to dance. The band's singer Garvit gave a message to the youth to stay away from drugs and join music. Apart from this, Poonam Sharma Group also presented an attractive program.

Lokendra Kaintura Group presented folk dances along with Garhwali and Jaunpuri folk songs at Garhwal Terrace. Afzal Mangalore presented the program “Ek Sham in the Name of Martyrs”. The cultural presentation of Deepak Rawat Group at Landour Chowk greatly impressed the audience. Jaunpuri-Jaunsari folk culture was in full swing in Reshma Shah Night organized in Town Hall. Reshma Shah started the program with Pandavvani.

After this, the audience kept dancing till late night on the songs of Meera Rana Group, Gajendra Rana, Saurabh Maithani, Sunny Dayal and Sushil Chauniyal. On this occasion, many dignitaries including Municipal President Meera Saklani, BJP Mandal President Rajat Aggarwal were present.
