Woman Fell Ill After Eating Food In Delhi's Five Star Hotel, Found Unconscious In Room

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. Delhi Police has registered an FIR against the five star hotel The Lalit located on Barakhamba Road in the capital in the case of a woman falling ill.

It is alleged that after eating the food served in the hotel, the woman's health suddenly deteriorated and she had to be admitted to the hospital due to fear of food poisoning.

According to the police, on January 25, the woman made a PCR call and informed that her condition had worsened after eating the food ordered in the hotel room.

The woman also alleged that she was trapped inside the room in an unwell condition and needed immediate help. As soon as the information was received, the police registered a case under section 286 (negligence in relation to poisonous substance) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and started investigation.

After the PCR call, a police team including a lady sub-inspector immediately reached the hotel. According to the police, when no response was received from inside despite repeated knocking on the door of the room located on the 12th floor, the door was opened with the master key in the presence of the hotel staff. The woman was found in an ill condition inside the room.

Investigation revealed that the victim is a resident of Prasad Nagar area of ​​Delhi. He had checked into the hotel on January 20 and had a booking till January 31.

The woman told the police that on January 24, she had ordered food from a restaurant in the hotel through room service. Shortly after having the meal, he started complaining of severe restlessness, nervousness and deteriorating health.

When her condition became serious, the police immediately took the woman to Lady Hardinge Medical Hospital through an ambulance, where the doctors kept her under observation. According to hospital sources, the woman's condition is currently said to be stable, although doctors are constantly monitoring her health.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police crime team inspected the hotel room. During this, the team seized 16 important evidence, which included suspicious food items and liquids.

All the samples have been sealed and taken into police custody and will be sent for testing, so that it can be clear what was the real reason behind the woman's ill health.
