Woman Injured By Hammer Attack In Ghazipur Dies During Treatment, FIR Registered Against Accused

Jagran correspondent, Ghazipur. Shabnam Begum, a 50-year-old woman who was seriously injured in an attack with a hammer about a month ago over a land dispute in Shahpur Shamsher Khan village, died during treatment at the Varanasi Trauma Center on Friday night.

The incident took place on November 7, when the opposition attacked Ahmed Khan, his wife Shabnam Begum and daughter Saba Parveen over a land dispute in Shahpur Shamsher Khan village. It is alleged that Shabnam Begum was hit on the head with a hammer, due to which she was seriously injured.

Seeing the critical condition of the three injured, they were referred from the district hospital to Varanasi Trauma Center. Ahmed Khan and daughter Saba Parveen's condition improved during treatment and they were sent home, but Shabnam Begum's condition remained critical due to a deep head injury and she went into a coma.

He died during treatment on Friday night. In this case, a case was registered against Rizwan Khan, Kamran Khan and Shahid Khan on the complaint of the deceased's son Sajid Khan.

Police station in-charge Pawan Kumar Upadhyay said that all the accused are in jail and further necessary legal action is being taken in the case.
