X-ray Technician Sued For Extorting Rs 100 In UP, Letter Written For Dismissal

Jagran correspondent, Fatehpur. Chief Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, filed a case against outsourced technician Atul Kumar in Sadar Kotwali under the Prevention of Corruption Act on charges of making illegal recovery from patients in the name of X-ray.

The department has sent a communication of termination of service to the service provider Indo Info Private Limited, Lucknow.

CMS Dr. Rajesh Kumar has clarified in the complaint given to the Sadar Kotwali Police that Atul Kumar is posted as an outsourced X-ray technician in the District Hospital through the said service provider organization in the Radiology Department of the District Hospital.

It has been revealed from departmental sources that on February 12, 2026, in the presence of Accountant Shailesh Tiwari posted in Sadar Tehsil, an X-ray technician illegally took Rs 100 from a patient in the name of doing X-ray.

Collecting money illegally from patients is contrary to public servant conduct and falls under the category of crime under the Prevention of Corruption Act. This action has created panic among the health workers in the district hospital.

CMS said that the outsourced personnel have been employed by the service provider organization in the radiology department of the district hospital since 2016. Correspondence has been sent to the concerned organization for whose dismissal.

Appealed that if anyone demands illegal facility fee then the patient should inform immediately. Departmental action will be taken.

Inspector said, action will be taken after statement

Kotwali Inspector Shravan Kumar Singh said that on the complaint of CMS, a case has been registered against the outsourced worker Atul Kumar and is being investigated.

In which the statements of the plaintiff and staff personnel will also be taken. CO City Pramod Kumar Shukla said that the corruption case is being investigated only after that necessary action will be taken.
