The Employment Department, which provides employment opportunities to the youth, provided job opportunities to 7,273 youth in one year and provided employment information to more than 10 thousand youth through counselling. 47 employment fairs were organized in 12 months, in which 7,273 youth got job opportunities.
The number of people getting jobs was the highest in the last five years. Unemployed can register and apply directly for job on the website of Employment Department, rojgaarsangam.up.nic.in. In the new year, the target is to provide jobs to twice as many youth as last year.
2,870 companies got registered
In the last one year, 2,870 companies registered themselves in the employment department portal to provide employment. Through 2080 employment fairs in the state, 2,11665 youth were given job opportunities in the private sector. In one year, 1,73,922 new youth have registered themselves for jobs. 50 thousand youth were given job opportunities in the Employment Mahakumbh.
16,212 youth were given jobs in three days in the Mahakumbh organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. Of these alone, 1,645 youth were given jobs abroad and 14,567 youth were given jobs in multinational companies. Employment Director Neha Prakash said that for the first time the experiment was successful. Throughout the year, efforts were made to provide jobs through job fairs in employment offices. The selected youth were offered Rs 2.3 lakh to Rs 6.9 lakh annually by companies within the country and Rs 2.2 lakh to Rs 6 lakh annually by Dubai companies.
Job opportunities are given to the youth registered in the employment office located in Lalbagh. Rural youth are given job opportunities by organizing fairs at the block level. Under the direction of Assistant Director Suryakant Kumar, employment opportunities are being collected by contacting companies as per the government's intention of Mission Employment.
