Nibha Rajak, Faridabad. : In the year 2025, the district got many achievements in the field of education. Government Girls School of NIT V was selected among the top 10 schools of the country. The only Faridabad school from the entire state added pride to the district by joining the list. Akash Kumar, Prashant Varshney and Ritambhara Kumari of Government Adarsh Senior Secondary Sector-28 are doing MBBS from medical colleges of Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi after passing NEET exam. However, this year also some incomplete projects left the students a bit disappointed.

JC Bose University could not get NOC for building expansion

After converting from college to university in JC Bose University in 2009, various courses were established and admissions also took place rapidly. In the year 2014, 68 acres of land was seen on Gurugram Faridabad Road for the expansion of the university, but the work of expansion of the building here could not start in the last 10 years.

Waiting for next year for new building

The government building of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru College has not been ready this year. The construction work of the six-storey building started in the year 2019. Officials claim that the six-storey building being constructed at a cost of Rs 48 crore will be ready by March 2026.

Government Industrial Training Institute also did not get a new building

For the convenience of more than 900 students, the construction work of the new building of ITI located at NIT 5 was started by PWD in the year 2019. A budget of Rs 7 crore was released for the construction of the building. This building was to be completed and handed over to the management in December 2025. Students are expected to get the new building by the year February 2026.

Auditorium work also remained incomplete

The Government College located at Khedi Gujran got the new building two years ago. Currently only 70 percent of the work has been completed. The auditorium and teaching room, which is being built at a cost of Rs 17.13 crore, will be ready by April 2026.

Students of government schools of the city are performing excellently in the field of science and technology. The education department is finding shortcomings and working on them. Construction work of new buildings is being done in government schools. Children in Sector-22 have got a new building, while the school in Sector-23 will get a new building next month.

-Dr. Anshu Singla, District Education Officer.

New courses have been started in city colleges as per the demand of students. On the basis of which students will be able to get employment after studies. With the start of new undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the college, students will not have to go to Delhi-NCR. The economy of any country depends on the educated people there. If our youth are educated then they will do their work with full efficiency.

What do experts say?

Former higher education officer Dr. Sunidhi said that the year 2025 has been good for the field of education. After repeated demands sent by us, the facilities in the city colleges have been expanded. After the introduction of new professional courses in some colleges, the path of students has become easier.

At the same time, the construction work of buildings in some colleges is hanging in the balance. This year, the construction work of Government College located in Sector-23 was to start, but it could not happen. At present, classes for the students of Sector-23 College are being held in the college of Khedi Gujran.

Teachers also have to face problems in organizing classes for students of two colleges in one building. Apart from this, Sector-16 Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru College is the oldest college of the city and has the largest number of seats.

The construction work of a six-storey building here has been going on for a long time. With the construction of the building, the facilities will expand further and new courses will also be started. This time too, professors have not been appointed in colleges.

In such a situation, professors are burdened with additional classes. Due to which professors also have to face problems. Professors should be recruited in colleges soon. Only then students will be able to study better. Along with this, even after a year of implementation of NEP, books have not been published, due to which the education of the students is being affected.

Connectivity is essential for the students of Mohana College. If this facility is increased, thousands of students will get relief. Due to lack of transport facilities, students have to face problems. Apart from this, there is no space earmarked for a library in the district.

First it is being operated in Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru College and now in Government Women's College. Any person can study in the district library. In such a situation, instead of the college, this library should be at a place where people can easily reach it.

There should be arrangements for practicing sports in the college. Also, there is a need to repair the computer labs in colleges. Only when the facilities in colleges will increase will there be all-round development of the students. The projects started in the city regarding education should be completed rapidly. Because our students will directly benefit from it. Although the condition of colleges has improved this year, more work should have been done.
