Amid the debate and controversy over Aurangzeb in the country, the statement of SP Rajya Sabha member Ramjilal Suman in the Rajya Sabha on March 21 created an upheaval in the country's politics. Protests started after his controversial statement on Rana Sanga. Along with demonstrations, complaints were also filed against him in the city. On March 26, Karni Sena vandalized his HIG flat at Sanjay Place. Policemen also got injured in stone pelting. Despite the opposition, Suman remained firm on his statement.
Karni Sena attacked the house after the statement given on Maharana Sanga
Karni Sena held a Swabhiman rally on April 12 at Garhi Rami in Etmadpur. Akhilesh Yadav reached his house on 19 April. Suman's convoy was also attacked in Aligarh on 27 April. After this, the police placed him under house arrest several times, over which they had heated arguments.
On December 4, the police filed a charge sheet against nine people including Okendra Rana of Karni Sena, but did not make Veeru Pratap an accused. Advocate Ajay Pratap Singh has also filed a case against Akhilesh Yadav and Ramjilal Suman in the MP-ML court.
SP removed all officials, got leadership in December
On June 2, SP dissolved the metropolitan and district executive of Agra. All the officials of Agra involved in the state organization and frontal organizations were also removed. In December, following the Backward, Dalit, Minority (PDA) formula, the party handed over command to Shabbir Abbas in the metropolis and Udal Singh Kushwaha in the district.
