Maha campaign of home stay and bread and breakfast scheme

Digital Desk, Lucknow. As per the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UP Tourism is going to take a big step to make Uttar Pradesh a leader in the field of tourism. 'Home Stay' and 'Bread and Breakfast' scheme will be given impetus to the tourists in the state to experience home-like atmosphere and local culture apart from hotels. For this, a statewide awareness campaign will be run from 14th to 30th January, the main objective of which is to expand tourism facilities as well as open the doors of self-employment for the local residents.

The campaign will run from 14th to 30th January

Teams of the Tourism Department will visit major cities of the state between January 14 and 30 and inform the local residents about the benefits of the scheme. The biggest feature of this campaign is that the department will not only give publicity, but will also provide 'Registration Certificate' to the eligible applicants after examining the pending proposals on the spot. For this work, the department has allocated a budget of Rs 2 lakh per district, so that there is no shortage in awareness programs.

Tourists will get culture and locals will get employment.

UP Tourism's 'Home Stay and Bread and Breakfast Scheme-2025' provides tourists an affordable and cultural alternative to expensive hotels. Under this scheme:

Local residents will be able to introduce tourists to home food and local traditions by converting their houses into home stays.

Tourists will receive personalized care and a unique cultural experience.

Local families will be provided with a new and sustainable source of income from home.

Special focus on major pilgrimage sites

This scheme especially focuses on cities where tourist traffic is high, like Mathura, Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj and Ayodhya. Especially during big events like Prayagraj Mahakumbh, Ayodhya Deepotsav and Mathura Rangotsav, when there is huge crowd in hotels, this scheme proves to be extremely beneficial for the tourists. This campaign will play a decisive role in strengthening the tourism ecosystem of the state.

If you also want to connect your home with tourism, then you can register yourself by becoming a part of this campaign starting from January 14.
