IIT Dhanbad Srijan Fest: Playback singer Benny Dayal of “Badtameez Dil” started his performance with the song “Locha Ae Ulfat”, on which the students of IIT Dhanbad created an atmosphere with loud applause. This was the occasion of Srijan, the annual techno-cultural program organized on Sunday at the Gymkhana Ground of IIT ISM.
Playback singer Benny Dayal spoke his first few words to the eager crowd, “Hello IIT Dhanbad, I have a lot of songs to sing tonight. So, we are all going to have a lot of fun. Are you guys ready to have fun with me?” He was greeted with thunderous applause and cheers, after which he sang the song “Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gayi” from his first big hit in Bollywood, “Ghajini”.
She enthralled the audience with romantic songs like 'Tu Hi To Meri Dost Hai' and 'Jaane Tu Ja Jaane Na' from the movie 'Yuvraj'. Even an hour after the program started, there was no decrease in Dayal's energy. He was at his best throughout the evening, completely engrossing the audience in the music with his amazing singing.
He made the audience dance by singing the song 'Dil Se' from the Shahrukh Khan starrer film. A total of 33 competitions were organized in Srijan. These included fashion show costumes, Mr. and Miss Srijan, Street Loaded, Dance, Music, Hunkar, Clay Modeling, Quiz, Face Painting and other competitions.
The three-day long creation concluded on Sunday. Senior Security Officer Ram Manohar remained present with his security team to keep the system favorable for the institute and students.
Shantanu Ghosh became Mr. Srijan and Miss Srijan was Pushpanjali.
Mr. and Miss Srijan was organized on the last day of Srijan. More than 37 participating students took part in it. After several rounds of Mr. and Miss Srijan, which lasted for about two hours, Shantanu Ghosh became Mr. Srijan and the names of Miss Srijan Pushpanjali were announced. Other participating students and spectators present there clapped and encouraged him.
